About the work

I paint because abstraction gives me a kind of freedom I can't find anywhere else. I'm not interested in recreating the world exactly as it is—I'm drawn to what it feels like instead. Color, movement, and texture, allowing me to express things I don't always have words for. When I'm working, I let go of structure and expectation, trusting instinct to guide each mark I make.

My process is less about control and more about release. I build layers, then disrupt them, letting accidents and imperfections shape the direction of the piece. Abstraction gives me space to explore without limits—to push, to question, and to respond emotionally rather than logically.

Through my work, I'm chasing a sense of openness, both for myself and for anyone who experiences it. I want my paintings to feel like an invitation: to interpret freely, to feel deeply, and to embrace the beauty of not needing a single, fixed meaning.
